Diabetes Diet Plan for Pakistani Patients

A practical diabetes diet plan using common Pakistani foods. Roti portions, chai alternatives, and meal timing for blood sugar control.

Pakistani Diet & Diabetes

Pakistan has the 3rd highest number of diabetic patients globally. Our traditional diet heavy in refined carbs (white rice, naan) and sugary chai contributes to poor glycemic control.

Practical Diet Plan

  • Breakfast: 1 whole wheat paratha with egg white, unsweetened green tea
  • Lunch: 1 small roti, dal, mixed vegetable sabzi, salad
  • Dinner: Grilled chicken/fish, 1 small roti, raita
  • Snacks: Handful of almonds, apple, or cucumber

Foods to Avoid

White rice in large portions, sweet lassi, mithai (sweets), sugary drinks, fried pakoras, and processed juices should be strictly limited.
